THE PROPERTY
Believed to date from the early/mid nineteenth century, the original dwelling was three storeys tall and one room deep. In the mid nineteen eighties the kitchen and bathroom were added to the ground and second floors at the rear of the property.

The front door opens into the living room, which has a red-brick hearth (the chimney has been sealed) and a feature Cotswold stone wall at the far end. The kitchen is through an archway at the end of the living room and stairs lead to the first floor – on which there are the bathroom and main bedroom. The bathroom suite comprises basin, w.c. and a bath with shower over and the main bedroom has a spacious built-in hanging wardrobe and an understair storage cupboard. In the bedroom on the second floor is a cupboard that houses the central heating boiler. Both bedrooms have views, south west, down Harper’s lane to farmland on the horizon.

LOCATION
No.15 Bristol Street is only a few minutes’ walk from the top of Malmesbury’s busy High Street, which offers a wide range of shops and services.
Only a minutes’ walk away is The Triangle, which has recently been described as the ‘Gastro-Centre’ of the town with The Cosy Cone offering artisan gelato, coffee, bagels and more; Michael’s Bistro/Deli and then the Three Cups offering vegan food, good beer, live music and cultural events. Further out from the town centre there is the choice of Waitrose, Co-op and Aldi supermarkets. The much larger towns of Swindon, Chippenham and Cirencester are all easily accessible by road. Junction 17 of the M4 Motorway is about five miles to the south west and main line rail services are available from Swindon, Chippenham and Kemble.

At the top of Malmesbury High Street turn left and follow the road past the Abbey and along Abbey Row until reaching the war memorial in The Triangle. Bear left into Bristol Street and continue along Bristol Street for approximately 50 yards
